Physician Formula PH Matchmaker review

So once again went to the Rite Aid to picked up a few items for the house and something in my mind said go to the makeup to see what new in stock. I'm glad that I did. There was a new product that I have not heard about. The packaging of the items was so cute. I could not help myself but to try these products out. Besides they had a $3.00 off coupon so you know that I could not pass that up the chance.

It was the Physician Formula PH matchmaker. It claims that these line reacts to the light and the PH levels for the perfect glow. All it takes just 60 seconds to match you instantly. I was like no way a product could that but I thought I would like to give it a try.

The first product I bought was the bronzer # 7597 . Which contains 13g of product. Keep in mind there is only one color in this line remember it suppose to instantly match you. When I saw this I was like there is no way. This is way too light , like 3 or 4 times lighter then my skin tone. But as I tried the product I did see something. I couldn't point my finger on it but I did notice some kind on change. I didn't  think that this product would make a change on my skin. But it did right where I had contour my face. The product is very smooth and soft very light no scent what so ever which is a good thing for a lot of people it also claims that this products last for 14h. I don't know about you but I do not where my makeup for 14hr The most I wore this product is 10 and it did hold up very well on the skin.

Oh the shimmer that you do see does transfer on the face. Not much it is very light. You will see a  little sliver sparkles hear or there. But it is not noticeable mostly if the light hits it in an angle.

Oh did I forget to mention that it comes with a light. LOL

Yep that what got me the cute packaging I couldn't help it .

Next product which is the blush in natural #7559. It contains 6g of product. It also claims to do the same thing. Which is to match you instantly with the PH level. I really like this blush as you can see the blush is looks like a barbie pink but when I applied it to my skin it   was like a rosy red. It looked like I had just came out from out of the cold. The texture once again was very smooth very light on the skin and again it did held up for at least 10 hour. This also claims that it can hold up for 14 hours as will.

The shimmer that you see in the packaging does not transfer on to the skin .

Yes it also comes with a light.

Last but not least is the lip gloss in pink # 7599. Which contains 3.9g This is the item that I was most excited about and yes it does the same thing. This line was all about the PH level and yes this work like a dream. Right before my eyes the lip gloss was changing as you can see from the packaging it is very pink. It really isnt when you apply it is very light so light it is transparent what you do see  is some shimmer. When you apply on the lips it is very sheer. But something cool happen right before your eyes. It just gets darker and darker. So dark you would have thought I just finish eating a Ice pop. It claims that is last for 10 hours. I would say maybe about 2 to 3 hours the most with out you reapplying. that only if you did't have anything to drink nor lick your lips. The lip glossy feel does go away . Don't get me wrong the pigmention does get left behind. That was that part that let me down even thou it change color on me like magic. That lip glossy feel is what I would have liked to have suck a lot longer on the lips. It does not have a flavor or a smell which is a good thing. It is is not sticky gloss nor very oily base which makes you feel like you just ate a greasy cheese burger. But I really wish that the feel of this product would have last longer then 2 to 3 hours.

It does contain a small mirror on the side.

Would I buy this product again.  Yes I would But I would only buy the blush and the lip gloss because the blush gave he that perfect color and as for this lip gloss because I really like the lip gloss feel and the color to my lips even thou it does not last long.

MAYBELLINE DREAM BOUNCY BLUSH

So as everyone know Maybelline had came out with these new blushes called dream bouncy blushes . At first I was going to stay away from this product because I really do not like any kind of cream blushes . But being that theses are a new product it sound so interesting and I was intrigued with the formula so I thought I would give it a try. It was an easy find at my local drug store. I bought 6 out of the 10 shades .

PIGMENTATION

Two out of the 6 was the most pigmented  which was the darker colors . Keep in mind I'm a NC 45 in Mac . The only way the other lighter colors will show on my skin is if I really pack it on but then, the feel of the cream blush would feel different on my face . It becomes more patchy more clay like ... even if you blend it the more you blend the more you lose the color ... So it like what was the whole point

TEXTURE

Feels like a powder to cream finish but at the same time clay like . It is very light on the skin. At first touch on the packaging it does feels a little weird it takes me back to my childhood  days to when I use to play with play dough . Which is kind fun ...

PACKAGING

It contains 5.6 grams the names of each blush is on the back of the compact. Some people would say they would of have like it to be in front of the packaging for easier access. But I like it either way it reminds me of a mini Mac blush .


OVER ALL SUMMERY

I was not happy at all with this product. The concept was a good idea to draw attention for a new product that was a gimmicky move from the company . But that's all that was gimmicky. The pigmentation was low quality most colors was on the sheer side. Does not work on a lot of skin tones and for it to work on someone they really have to work on the blending and  and the packing on the product . On top of  that the lasting power on these are horrible. I'll give it at least 4 hours before the product is completely gone . Would I buy this product or even recommend it to anyone ....this is a big no , no don't even waste your money on this product unless you have money to waste .

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows Review

So as everyone knows L’Oreal had come out with these new infallible eye shadows that everybody has been on a hurt for. It was first seen somewhere in Canada and Europe. Here in the US we are the last to receive them. It was said to be seem at Bed Bath and Beyond first. I was lucky to find them at a Rite Aid for $7.95. I was so happy I bought every color they had before anybody got their hands on them. Sorry if you were the one that was right behind me I left what I could LoL. They had a very small display Rite Aid you got to do better. Don’t you know everybody and their mother is looking for these eye shadows.

Many people are comparing them to the Armani eyes to kill eye shadow which cost $32. I cannot because I do not own any of them. But from what I can tell you is if they are. These are a very good dupes.

PIGMENTATION

Most of eye shadows has that satin,metallic,shimmer finish for except for Sultry Smoke #998, Endless Pearl # 899 and Continuous Cocoa #891 which is more matte. The colors that they designed really works well together. They blend very nicely so it can give you a great variety of looks, they are highly pigmented . You can wear them alone or with a base depends but if you have oily lids. I suggest to use a base because from what I hear they make it difficult to make them work.

TEXTURE

Texture of these eye shadows is not creamy, not powdery, not mosses. It is between a cream to powder finish. It has that velvety feel. Application to the eyes is very soft. The shadows did not flake or crease threw out the day. Once applied the color on the lid is very strong and stay threw out the whole day. This product formula is unlike most eye shadow that I ever tried.

PACKAGING

It is a transparent glass jar with a screw lid. All the lids have the names of the colors . In the back where it is transparents you can see the shades.  So it can be easier to see them better. When you open the lid you will find a small topper with some kind on handle . My guess it is for the eye shadows to stay in place. The shadows is so soft that sometimes it needs to be pressed  from time to time because the shadows do crumble when you use it.

COLOR SELECTION

There are 12 colors which contains 3.5g. Which is quite a lot for a drugstore brand?

#222 Infinity sky = which is like a sliver blue (metallic)

#333 Golden sage = which is like a mild due green (metallic)

#555 Perpetual purple = which is like a deep plum purple (metallic)  

#890 Bronzed Taupe = which is like a taupe (metallic)

#891 Continuous Cocoa = which is like a dark brown (matte)

#892 Amber Rush = which is like a light taupe (metallic)

#888 Iced Latte = which is like a light champagne beige (metallic)

#889 Midnight Blue = which is like a dark navy blue (metallic)

#899 Endless Pearl = which is like a light beige (matte)

#997 Eternal Sunshine = which is like a golden gold (metallic)

#998 Sultry Smoke = which is like a grey (matte)

#999 Eternal Black = which is like an intense black (with sliver shimmer)

SIDE NOTE

I notices that over seas have different colors then what we don't have  hear in the states . Also some of the colors that we do have they have them in different names . Lastly some of the colors they have are limited edition which is weird . I hope some of those colors come hear.

 OVERALL SUMMERY

I was pleasantly surprised by these eye shadows performance. It really last a long time on the lid. I don’t know if it last 24hrs but they did last on me at least 12hr which is enough for me. Strong colors long-lasting and a good value for a drug store brand would I buy these again … YES I would, hopefully they will come out with more different colors later down the line because I don’t think I would be able to finish with the one I have for a very long. A little is all it takes to do a look with theses eye shadows because of the pigmentation is so great. So pigmented, that they are hard to come off with just soap and water. So make sure you use an eye remover.

Loreal Color Riche Balm Review

I need to learn to stay away from Walgreens. I always come out of there with some kind of makeup product . Anyway as you know L'Oreal Paris had came out with their own line of lip balm to compete with the Revlon Lip butter. However they are not the same thing. There is some distinct difference between the two.

PIGMENTATION

These lip balm are on the sheer side, even thou they are build-able you will get more of the moisturizer then the pigmentation. So they do have a slight tint. Unlike it competitor (Revlon) which is more like a lipstick then a lip balm so more of the pigmentation shows more. I guess that why there is more of a color selection.

FORMULA
It is SPF15 which is great, nice to wear all year round . It is extremely moisturizing not sticky at all. The texture of the balm is more of an oil based then anything. Not to many people would like that. That is just my personal preference. I don't like sticky base gloss or like balm  Even thou you really can not compare the two.


FLAVOR/SCENT

The aroma reminds of a MAC lipstick.A Cotton candy scent it is very light. As for flavor it has none what so ever. So you don't have to worry about licking your lips. LOL

PACKAGING

The overall design is modern with a gold interlocking angled tube. The lid is semi transparent. Which is nice because it feels like a high end lipstick even thou it a lip balm.

COLOR SELECTION

The line only came out with 8 colors.Which simply lags when it comes to color selection. I feel like four out of the eight colors are very nude there nice don't get me wrong. But they are on the sheer side so they are not that noticeable on the lips. You only see the color in the tube.

OVERALL SUMMARY

After testing these lip balms for about two weeks now. They hold up pretty nicely. Just like any lip balm you will have to reapply every now and then. The moisture is long lasting compared to it competitors (Revlon Lip butter). The packing is elegant and it smell nice too. The only down fall is the range of shades most of them appear identical from one to another. Would I repurchase these again. Yes I would, only because I would treat these like a lip balm and not a lipstick. The overall factor of these is how moisturizing these are that sold me.
