New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny (Review)

New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny (Review)

I want to start off saying that these product was sent to me from Influenster for review purpose only This will not effect me in any way shape or form how I feel about this product. I will give my honest opinion how I feel and how the product performed in me.

I was using NYC's Sunny bronzer for many years?  So I’am no stranger to this product. I was glad to see this product in my Infuenster cause I have not used this product in such a long time cause I had moved up to bigger and higher end for my bronzer and contouring needs.

I use to use it as a allover setting powder in the winter time cause I seem to lose a lot a color in my face . But in the summer I use it as my bronzer /contour. After I apply my foundation, concealer, and powder, I use a brush to apply this near my temples, cheeks, and neckline . . . then do my bronzing and contouring over it. It just helps warm up my face, and helps my other products to blend easier.

I'm tanned (NC45 in MAC?) If you want to use that as a reference, this produce is not orange on me. I've never had any problems with this breaking me out or causing any skin issues.

I have repurchased this produce many times. This may not be THE BEST out there, but it works well for me. So if you are looking for a drug store inexpensive product. This product might just do the trick it worth checking out at your local drug store.

Pros
-Price it very low
-Can be found in almost every drug store
-Does not have a scent that I am able to detect
-Finely milled  and not powdery

Con
-Can be a little orange on some people
-May not work on darker skin

Verdict

If you are just starting out with makeup and you don't know where to begin this is the brand for you. It is affordable and easily accessible for the makeup lover in you. So please give it a shot and I hope you love it as much I did.  Good luck

This product can be found in
CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreen, Duane Reade and some Drug Stores and of course NYC website which there will be a link below

VIVA GLAM RIHANNA 2 COMING THIS FALL

I am not a lipglass girl but I think that I will have to make an exception. This beautiful dual chrome goodness is coming this September. No date has been set at this time but be on the look out for it.  This lipglass look like it has a cool mauve with red frost. I have to say that I am loving the red packaging it put the whole thing together.

If you didn't know the viva glam was established in 1994 to support men, woman and children affected by HIV/AIDS globally. The MAC AIDS Fund is supported exclusively by a consumer based model that direct 100 % of the sale to the fund. In other words every time you buy a viva glam product all the money will go to the organization.

Over the past 18 years MAC has launched several exclusive Viva Glam products lines including lipstick and lipglass. Each of  them featuring campaign with celebrity superstars such as

RuPaul
K.D Lang
Lil Kim
Sir Elton
Mary J Blige
Shirley Manson
Linda Evangelista
Boy George
Christina Aguilera
Missy Elliott
Pamela Anderson
Lisa Marie Presley
Debbie Harry
Eve
Dita Von Teese
Fergie
Cyndi Lauper
Lady Gaga
Ricky Martin
Nicki Minaj
and now Rihanna

The Viva Glam line will campaign with a celebrity for that year along with the product and then it will be discontinue so a new celebrity and a new Viva Glam can be made. There has been a few times that a celebrity has been chosen two back to back like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and most recently Rihanna but of coarse a new product would have been put into  the new rotation.

My guess the sales was such a hit they decide to extended it another year with that celebrity but with a new product and  a new color weather it is a lipsick or a lipglass. Either way I love to support the cause and it does not hurt that you get to add a new lipstick and a new lipglass to your collection.

By the way this is not my photo. This photo has been circulating around instagram unable to give credit to the person who took this picture.

THE SIMPSONS MAC COLLECTION

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary Mac wanted to celebrate with everyone their favorite cartoon family the Simpsons. The MAC The Simpsons Collection released news of the collection on instagram promising it to be a collection celebrating everyone’s beloved animated family!. It seams from all the pictures that have been circulating on instagram, twitter and various blog MAC seems to focus their attention more on Marge Simpsons.

Nothing against the Simpsons but aside from her bright blue hair how much color can you actually put into a MAC Marge Simpson Collection? MAC is no stranger to creating fun cosmetic collections that’s for sure. However, the Simpsons are such a hard color palette to work with. The only colors that come into mind is blue and yellow…what else is there!?

Rumors has it that the collection is to drop on Mac website is on September 4, 2014 in the USA . So keep on the look out and get ready for this collection. If you really want it

The collection will contain two powder blushes , two eye shadow quad, four lipglasses. Lashes which is part of their permanent line and some kind of nail stickers which is new to MAC. SALLY HANSEN (REVIEW) #CSMTKO

I wanted to start off by saying that these items was sent to me for review purposes by Influenster. This will not influence me in anyway shape of form about my opinion about this product.

When I had gotten the Sally Hansen nail polishes in the mail I was so excited. I have heard of this product but never had a chance to use them. I love getting a mani pedi all the time. I am always getting my nails done. I don’t to them myself I always have a profession do them for me. It is the best way to get them done the right way at least to me. It is like a day a the spa for me. I seem to always make a mess when I do them myself.

First of all the color’s that was sent to me was perfect. A deep plum color a bright hot red and a light soft blue what else could a girl ask for. I had ask my mother and my sister to join me to try out this product as well and to give me their feed back since they love doing their nails at home. We all live different life styles.

My mom who is a stay at home mom, she does the cooking the cleaning the laundry you know the typical things that stay at home mom’s do. We all know how that goes when it comes to nails. With all that washing and cleaning it really takes a toll on your nails. So you know there will be a lot of wear and tear. You will wonder how long the color last and how long before your nails will start to chip on your nails.

My sister is a full time student, the only wear and tear is using the computer to type her reports and on the internet doing research  and like any typical teenager constantly on her phone texting and playing video games. She a big kid at heart lol

As for me I work in a hospital my wear and tear is water and putting pressure on my nails when it comes to typing. I am always constantly washing my hand and on the computer all day Monday threw Friday you know a regular 9 to 5 job.

My mom started to see the polish chipping after a week and a day or two. Keep in mind she did use a top coat. You know people who use a lot of water their nail polish does start to breaks down by a lot. So it was a matter of time for that to happen other then that the polish stood strong when it comes to the pigmentation it did not get dull at all the shine stood strong.

My sister started seeing the polish chipping after two weeks. She didn't use a top coat she felt too lazy to do so. The whole time the only time she used water is when she wash her hands when she was done eating and when she was taking showers other then that just like any typically teen. she  was on her phone texting away or on the computer typing like a crazy person. All the chipping that had occur was at the edge of the nail which was understandable since shes types using her nails sometimes.

As for me I started seeing the polish chipping almost after three weeks keep in mind that I had UV polish top coat done over the polish and I had my nails done at a nail salon. I use a lot of water not as much as my mom thou. I work at a hospital so I am always washing my after everything I do I don’t want to contaminate anything around me nor bring anything home. The pigmentation was great but where it did starting chipping on the edge of the nail and it started peel where the top coat was. Which is crazy but the nail polish itself stood in tack which was nice.

PRO’S
It has a thick brush which is a good thing. It can cover more surface area just it one swipe. The colors that I had received are very much pigmented. It takes just takes just two coats to cover the nail to get it full potential of color. Lasting power is average it about a week or two it all depends on the top coat that you use and things that you use during your everyday lives. It has a nice shine that will last a very long time. You can find this item in almost all major drug stores and the price is very reasonable for a drug store item.

CON’S
It has a thick brush it just depends on how you look at it a lot of people don’t like a thick brush because they have thin finger tips and a very small area to work with. Lasting power it all depends on the top coat and what you do throughout the day for the wear and tear.

VERDICT
I would try this polish again the lasting power is great. It is easy to find drug store item. The pigmentation of these colors are great and for the value of this item who wouldn't try this product. I would recommended it to everyone I know whether you are a working woman like me, a college student like my sister or a stay at mom like my mom this product is for everyone.

NEW L'Oreal Youth Code Pore Vanisher (Review)

What a great way to start off then new year for L'Oreal. They are really stepping up their game from one product to another. Especially their new line of skin care product. First their was the moisturize texture perfector day and night cream. Then the treat texture perfector serum concentrate and now this.

L'Oreal have some claims on this product that is beyond what a primer can do. Which is that this product can diminish the look or pores and will shrink pore size in a month. I don't know about you but that is hard to believe that a product can do all of that especially a drug store product.

This product contains 1.4 fl oz and it has the same scent as the serum from the product line. It also have a slight universal tint which is good so it will not effect the foundation that you might be using. On the skin it feel like you are using a very light cream, serum type feeling not that silicone type. So if you are one of those people who hate that silicone type primers. You will not have a problem with this product at all. You can you use this product day and night and just like that rest of the Youthcode product line the packaging has that same pink ombre look. which is very cute I must say

This product is for all skin type and suitable for sensitive skin. Non-comedoenic and dermatologist tested.

I will continue to use this product with the rest of the Youthcode product line. So far I have been having great results from this line. I see a great improvement in my skin tone and my skin feels so soft and smooth. My foundation looks better with it then without it.

I will report back in a month or so to tell you if this Youthcode pore vanisher really does what it say it does once I added to my skin care regimen. Weather there is some kind of improvement to my skin or if it really diminish my pore size.

This product can be found so far in Target, CVS and Walgreen.

By the way I bought mines in Walgreen and on the display there was a 2.00 off coupon so take advantage of that before they are gone.

NYC Sparkle Eye Dust (Review)

I gotten this from influenster in the Smokey Topaz, which is one of the original shades –  Smokey Topaz is a really lovely shade though – sort of a mauve taupe with a lovely shimmery (but not frosty!) finish.

Since this is a loose shadow, you could also use it wet, but it’s very pigmented dry.  I think it must have some type of binder in it, because it adheres to skin quite well without any base at all.  I tested it out on my eyes, and it applied well just over eye shadow primer.  There was some fallout during application, but none during the day.

Overall, I really liked the NYC Sparkle Eye Dust shadow – enough that I’m definitely going to go back for more! I found the packaging fairly convenient.  I did need to tap on to the back of my hand to apply, but the packaging prevented spills, which is great. The quality of the shadow is also very nice – pigmented, smooth and adheres well. A great, inexpensive choice!

Suave - Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil (Review)

This is the first time I have heard of this moroccan oil and I'm really glad I was giving a chance to try out this product. Iam always looking for the next best thing when it comes to hair care

It is "infused" with moroccan oil, so it's not pure argan oil, which is probably a good thing, since this product is lightweight and not heavy or greasy. There's also has coconut oil in it, which is also moisturizing. No funky or overpowering smell either. This smells amazinggggg!!!!!!!

I highly recommend this product it has completely transformed my damaged, brittle hair. I have tried almost all the products on the market to repair my, ranging from your drug store brand, all the way the expensive Moroccan oil which costs like $45 for a decent sized bottle. This product by far blows everything out of the water!!! After just one usage, this smoothed my hair, gave me great shine, and made my hair more voluminous. It also tames frizzies and conditions your ends. After styling (flat ironing, etc), I spray a small amount on my fingers and then dab it on my ends and anywhere else that seems frizzy. Since a little goes a long way and so my hair doesn't become too greasy and weighed down, I like applying it with my fingers rather than directly on my hair. Not only do I use it dry but it works wet as well
I use this twice a day sometimes -- first during styling, and then I dab a little on my ends only before I go to bed. It does not rub off on the pillow.
All in all, great lightweight oil that does what it says and I highly recommend it! I haven't used it long enough to know if it is actually "improving" my hair in the long run but I know that on days when I do use it, my hair looks better. Good value for price

PS  all the woman in my family use it and that why it looks like this LOL.  This is why I hind the bottle from them I keep tell them to get their own
