SALLY HANSEN (REVIEW) #CSMTKO

I wanted to start off by saying that these items was sent to me for review purposes by Influenster. This will not influence me in anyway shape of form about my opinion about this product.

When I had gotten the Sally Hansen nail polishes in the mail I was so excited. I have heard of this product but never had a chance to use them. I love getting a mani pedi all the time. I am always getting my nails done. I don’t to them myself I always have a profession do them for me. It is the best way to get them done the right way at least to me. It is like a day a the spa for me. I seem to always make a mess when I do them myself.

First of all the color’s that was sent to me was perfect. A deep plum color a bright hot red and a light soft blue what else could a girl ask for. I had ask my mother and my sister to join me to try out this product as well and to give me their feed back since they love doing their nails at home. We all live different life styles.

My mom who is a stay at home mom, she does the cooking the cleaning the laundry you know the typical things that stay at home mom’s do. We all know how that goes when it comes to nails. With all that washing and cleaning it really takes a toll on your nails. So you know there will be a lot of wear and tear. You will wonder how long the color last and how long before your nails will start to chip on your nails.

My sister is a full time student, the only wear and tear is using the computer to type her reports and on the internet doing research  and like any typical teenager constantly on her phone texting and playing video games. She a big kid at heart lol

As for me I work in a hospital my wear and tear is water and putting pressure on my nails when it comes to typing. I am always constantly washing my hand and on the computer all day Monday threw Friday you know a regular 9 to 5 job.

My mom started to see the polish chipping after a week and a day or two. Keep in mind she did use a top coat. You know people who use a lot of water their nail polish does start to breaks down by a lot. So it was a matter of time for that to happen other then that the polish stood strong when it comes to the pigmentation it did not get dull at all the shine stood strong.

My sister started seeing the polish chipping after two weeks. She didn't use a top coat she felt too lazy to do so. The whole time the only time she used water is when she wash her hands when she was done eating and when she was taking showers other then that just like any typically teen. she  was on her phone texting away or on the computer typing like a crazy person. All the chipping that had occur was at the edge of the nail which was understandable since shes types using her nails sometimes.

As for me I started seeing the polish chipping almost after three weeks keep in mind that I had UV polish top coat done over the polish and I had my nails done at a nail salon. I use a lot of water not as much as my mom thou. I work at a hospital so I am always washing my after everything I do I don’t want to contaminate anything around me nor bring anything home. The pigmentation was great but where it did starting chipping on the edge of the nail and it started peel where the top coat was. Which is crazy but the nail polish itself stood in tack which was nice.

PRO’S
It has a thick brush which is a good thing. It can cover more surface area just it one swipe. The colors that I had received are very much pigmented. It takes just takes just two coats to cover the nail to get it full potential of color. Lasting power is average it about a week or two it all depends on the top coat that you use and things that you use during your everyday lives. It has a nice shine that will last a very long time. You can find this item in almost all major drug stores and the price is very reasonable for a drug store item.

CON’S
It has a thick brush it just depends on how you look at it a lot of people don’t like a thick brush because they have thin finger tips and a very small area to work with. Lasting power it all depends on the top coat and what you do throughout the day for the wear and tear.

VERDICT
I would try this polish again the lasting power is great. It is easy to find drug store item. The pigmentation of these colors are great and for the value of this item who wouldn't try this product. I would recommended it to everyone I know whether you are a working woman like me, a college student like my sister or a stay at mom like my mom this product is for everyone.

(REVIEW) Sally Hansen Salon Effects

How many of these can I do.Well once again I had gotten these product from my Spring Beauty VoxBox from Influenters for review purposes.

Stick on nail polish is nothing new, but the designs offered are too unique to pass up. I followed the instructions but added a few more steps of my own that I feel helped. After preparing my nails I applied a base coat, allowing it to dry before tackling the strips. A sticky base coat might be helpful for those who have had trouble with this product previously. I laid out the sizes for each nail. I removed the clear plastic covering and protective backing before pulling off the 'tab' and applying. I pressed firmly for a few seconds at the cuticle/base of my nail before gently pulling the end of the strip to the very edge of it.  Instead of filing around the cuticle and around the edge of the nail as the instructions suggested, I took the pointed end of the enclosed cuticle stick, dipped it lightly in polish remover, and drew it around my cuticle as close as I could get. That area of the strip should gently pull right off the skin around the cuticle. I did the same remover technique at the edge. I used the fine grit of the enclosed file for any rough spots. I finished off with a clear top coat.

What I like about the product the nails have zero drying time they go on dry, just a bit stretchy and there is a slight "nail polish" odor. Within minutes of applying them, I have driven, washed dishes, gone to bed.
No chips peeling the main reason they start to look worse is that they grow out with your nails.
What I don't like about them it seems that some of the packages have bad sets of strips. The strips were not very flexible, didn't stretch well, sometimes ripped as I was pulling them over my nail and didn't adhere well  started pulling up from the sides after a couple days.
These are OK. I had been dying  to try them for months and finally was able to thanks to Influenters. But would I buy this product myself ....um No I think not I love getting my nails done at the salon but for a person who needs to get then done for a last mintue event . I say go for it .
This product is  available at Wal-Mart, Target, CVS-RiteAid-Walgreens and most drugs stores that carry nail supplies.
